Thomas County cases up to 73; Archbold system reports 195 positive test results

THOMASVILLE — The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there are 73 COVID-19 cases in Thomas County. Three people in Thomas County have died so far from the virus — a 59-year-old male, an 82-year-old male and an 87-year-old female. All three also had underlying conditions.

Archbold officials reported Friday that there have been 195 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 20 deaths.

The health care system also has had 558 negative test results. Of those who have tested positive, 111 are at home and 31 are patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital.

There are 232 patients waiting at home on test results and nine patients in Archbold Memorial Hospital awaiting results.

From its Pinetree Boulevard screening site, Archbold has had 68 positive test results. There have been 268 negative test results from the Pinetree screening site. Another 166 people from the screening site are waiting on test results, and they will be notified by their primary care provider.

No patient at Brooks County Hospital has a positive test result, and no patient at the hospital is waiting on a test result. There are three patients at Grady General who have tested positive and three others are waiting on results. Mitchell County Hospital has three patients with positive test results and no other patients there are waiting on test results.

No resident at either Glenn-Mor Nursing Home or Mitchell County Convalescent has tested positive or is waiting on test results. There have been 27 residents at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home to test positive and 10 others are waiting on results.
