Maria del Carmen Thompson Ellis and Lawrence Morris Salerno II were united in marriage at noon on September 2, 2016 at the Basilica de Santa Maria del Coro in San Sebastian, Spain. The celebration followed at the famous Hotel Maria Cristina with formal lunch and dancing. San Sebastian was chosen as the location for this intimate wedding because of its close proximity to the Ellis family’s home in Castro Urdiales, Spain.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William West Ellis of Thomasville, Georgia. She is a graduate from Thomasville High School and the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lawrence Salerno Sr. of Flower Mound, Texas. He is a graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX.
