Miss Victoria Lynn Bennett weds Mr. Michael Clayton Hodges

Miss Victoria Lynn Bennett and Mr. Michael Clayton Hodges were united in marriage on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at five o’clock in the afternoon at Pine Isle Pointe on Lake Lanier Islands, Buford, Georgia. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Chuck Hodges, uncle of the groom. Music for the ceremony was provided by Tod Peavy.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Cathy Renz of Woodstock, Georgia and Mr. Tracy Bennett of Cartersville, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Jessie Page of Atlanta, Georgia and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Bennett of Ocala, Florida. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hodges of Thomasville, Georgia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elvis Boyette of Claxton, Georgia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hodges of Warrenton, Georgia.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an A-line vintage inspired Stella York gown. The lace gown featured a sweetheart neckline with a scalloped lace illusion back. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of hydrangeas, peonies, and ranunculus, and in her hair, she wore a hand painted monogrammed brooch that belonged to the groom’s paternal grandmother.

Miss Rachel Bennett, sister of the bride, of Woodstock, Georgia served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Hollie Hutto, cousin of the groom, of Thomson, Georgia, Mrs. Lydia Qualheim of Thomasville, Georgia, Miss Hilary Greene of Kennesaw, Georgia, Mrs. Amanda Robinson of Marietta, Georgia, and Mrs. Maggie Starr of Marietta, Georgia. The flower girls were Miss Corina Mansheim of Mableton, Georgia and Miss Mary Charles Johnson of Warrenton, Georgia, cousin of the groom. The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore navy chiffon gowns and each carried a hand-tied bouquet of blush hydrangeas and baby’s breath.

Mr. Mike Hodges, father of the groom, of Thomasville, Georgia served as best man. Groomsmen included Mr. Chris Qualheim of Thomasville, Georgia, Mr. Tom Hodges of Thomasville, Georgia, Mr. Ross Hodges of Neptune Beach, Florida, Mr. Josh Worley of Valdosta, Georgia, Mr. Dustin Price of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Mr. Andrew Ferguson of Kennesaw, Georgia. The ring bearers were Master Caden Green, nephew of the bride, of Woodstock, Georgia and Master Braylon Worley of Valdosta, Georgia.

Victoria and Clay will reside in Clinton, South Carolina.
