THOMASVILLE – There weren’t many former Bulldogs and Yellow Jackets on the field in week 13 as the college football season winds down.
However, it was Central state champion Caleb Anderson who stood above all in week 13. In UPIKE’s 42-35 win over Baker University in the 2024 NAIA Football Championship Series, Anderson recorded four solo tackles. That’s not entirely remarkable until you realize that he had 18 total tackles. It is by far the most total tackles the freshman has had in a single game this season.UPIKE has advanced to face Keiser University in the second round of the 2024 NAIA Football Championship Series
Though he found the field in yet another game this season, Malachi Thomas and the Pitt Panthers have had a rough go of it in recent weeks. After a historically good start to their season and looking like they may contend for an ACC title, Pitt has lost four in a row. This latest loss to Louisville is the worst as the Panthers lost by 28.
Thomasville had a Bulldog on the college football gridiron as ETSU took down VMI 16-9. Ty Anderson had a single solo tackle and six total tackles.
