TIFTON — The Tift County Blue Devils took another home win Saturday night, defeating the visiting Lee County Trojans, 72-34.

Tift’s leading scorers were Preston Horne with 25 points, Micah Johnson with 15 and Fred Lloyd and Marquavius Johnson had eight points each.

The Lady Devils, however, suffered their second loss of the year in a 45-44 decision to Lee.

Both Tift teams will be back at home Friday for a showdown with the Valdosta Wildcats at 7 p.m.

Valdosta was swept by Tift County in its own gym Dec. 3. Since then, its squads have each fallen to arch-rival Lowndes. The ‘Cats were scheduled to host Cook Tuesday night.

Saturday, the Devils and Lady Devils will visit Coffee. Varsity action will begin at 6 p.m. Coffee’s boys had a listed record of 3-0 on MaxPreps. The Trojans are scheduled to host Ware County Friday, a school it split with last week. The boys won, 71-49, with the Lady Gators falling 47-41.
