A Thomasville podiatrist with homes here and in Tallahassee and Panama City Beach in Florida is being held without bond in the Bay County (Fla.) Jail in Panama City.

Adam Michael Frasch, whose Thomasville podiatry practice is at 510 Gordon Ave., was arrested at his Panama City Beach residence Saturday afternoon and charged with two counts of interference with custody, a felony.

His wife, Samira Frasch, 38, was found dead in a swimming pool at a residence at 8374 Inverness Drive, Tallahassee, about 11 a.m. Saturday.

The woman’s two young children could not be located, and a missing children’s alert was issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

The Leon County Sheriff’s Office at Tallahassee contacted the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office Saturday afternoon and asked for help locating the children, said Lt. Tim Watkins, local sheriff’s office chief investigator.

Lawmen went to the doctor’s Thomasville residence on East Live Oak Lane and to his podiatry practice to look for the children.

“The most concern was for the kids. … He was not at either location,” Watkins said Monday.

Watkins knew Fasch had a Panama City Beach home and informed Leon authorities.

Maj. Tommy Ford, Bay County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy, said his agency was contacted at 2 p.m. Saturday by Leon County about the possibility Frasch might be in the Panama City area and that he might have two children with him.

Ford said Frasch and his wife had been involved in “an ongoing divorce.” “Custody of the children was an issue,” Ford added.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force set up surveillance on Frasch beach home at 4123 Nancee Drive off Thomas Drive.

A black GMC Yukon was parked in the driveway. At 4:15 p.m., officers saw Frasch, 46, putting things in the vehicle as though he was preparing to leave.

Frasch was arrested and the children — ages 1 and 2 — were turned over to the Department of Children & Families.

“The children are safe,” Ford said Monday afternoon.

Leon County has a hold on Fasch.
