Services for Shelly Anderson, 55, Miami, Fla. and formerly of Thomasville, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at Hadley’s Funeral Home Chapel, 622 N. Broad St., Thomasville. The Rev. W.B. Sales will officiate and interment is in Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are friends of the family. Mr. Anderson died Oct. 28 at the Pan American Hospital in Miami. He was born July 21, 1947 in Thomasville, the son of the late Henry and Leola Dixon Anderson. A Douglass High School graduate, he was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. Survivors include sons, Shelly Anderson Jr. of Thomasville, Charles Brown, Samuel Anderson both of Miami; a daughter, Aquarius Anderson of Miami; a sister, Virginia Anderson of Thomasville; brothers, Marvin Anderson of Newark, N.J., John Anderson of St. Petersburg, Fla., James Anderson of Miami; uncle, Rosel Dixon of Steubenville, Ohio; aunt, Maudella Lowe of Cairo; sister-in-law, Geraldine Anderson of Thomasville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. — Hadley’s Funeral Home

Services for Costella Bryant, 50, Cairo, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at Disciples of Jesus Ministries Inc., Thomasville. The Rev. Dr. Israel Blake will officiate and interment is in Crestview Cemetery. Active pallbearers are friends of the family. Mrs. Bryant died Nov. 6 at her residence. Born in Cairo, she was a daughter of Johnson Bryant and Estella Bryant Mann. She was a graduate of Cairo High School, member Disciples of Jesus Ministries Inc. and had lived most of her life in Cairo. Everett (Mike) Coachman
Services for Everett (Mike) Coachman, 60, Boston, are at noon, Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at Trinity Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Born Sept. 2, 1942 in Thomasville, he was a son of Mary H. Coachman of Boston. He attended Magnolia High School and had lived in Boston for 40 years. He married Carolyn Davis on May 12, 1964 in Thomasville. Survivors include his mother, Mary Horne Coachman of Boston; daughters, Konice Kae Coachman of Thomasville, Ellaniti D. Quita Coachman of Boston; granddaughter, Latoya Quinette Coachman of Thomasville; grandson, Jamicah Rashaad Amoos of Thomasville; aunt, Lessie Ruth Horne of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Valerie E. Coachman Moore of Pasadena, Calif.; brothers, Earl F. Coachman of Atlanta, Wallace Coachman of Adel; aunts, Rose B. Services for Martha Harris Ivey, 75, 107 Rosedale Ave., Thomasville, are at 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at Second Presbyterian Church, 1306 Fletcher St., Thomasville. The Rev. Mrs. Ivey died Nov. 3 at Archbold Memoral Hospital Born April 27, 1927 in Mitchell County, she ws a daughter of Chris and Mamie Harris. She was married to Felton Ivey Sr.
and a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Ivey was a homemaker and housewife. Survivors include her husband, Felton Ivey Sr. of Thomasville; sons, Felton Ivey Jr. of Thomasville, Alford D. Born May 13, 1931 in the Glasgow Community in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Arie Chester and Will Malone. She was married to David McKinney who preceded her in 1987. She attended New Union School, member Kenyon Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she was deaconess and Sabbath school member. Services for Luegene Thigpen, 85, Thomasville are at 11a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Metcalfe. The Rev. Born Feb. 18, 1917 in Thomas County, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Lue Carr. She was married to Willie “Bill” Thigpen who preceded her in death. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Tabitha Chapter No. 31, Order of Eastern Star and deaconess and mother of the church. Mrs. Thigpen was a former dietary assistant for Thomas County School System and homemaker. Survivors include daughters and their husbands, Fleeta C. Sexion (Larry) of Thomasville, Mattie L. Murray (Virgil) of Thomasville, Cloretta T. Banks (Charlie) of Spring Valley, Calif., Wynell Johnson (Joseph) of Jacksonville, Fla.; sons, Willie Thigpen Jr., Lonzell Thigpen both of Thomasville; adopted son, Willie Hall Sr. of Thomasville; sister and husband, Lossie Fedrick (Joseph) of Thomasville; 16 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Victoria Hadley, Ella Hart and Fred Hill Sr. The family wil receive friends at the church after the services.
