Albert Brackett

Graveside services for Albert Brackett, Whigham, are at 2 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2005 in Woodlawn Cemetery in Whigham. Frank Pritchett who has been a longtime Sunday school teacher at the nursing home will officiate. Mr. Brackett died Thursday, July 21 at Pine Wood Nursing Home in Whigham. He was born in Whitfield County, Ga. With no history of his early life, nothing is known of his parents or family so there are no known relatives. He has been a resident at the nursing home in Whigham for 34 years. During that time, he has endeared himself to local people in Whigham and Grady County, the staff of the nursing home and to the patients at the nursing home. A friendly individual, he spent his time helping others in any way he could. His loving spirit toward others was shown through him helping push other patients to different activities and helping in the dining room with different needs. He attended the church services held at the nursing home and he took care of himself and always said. “if I can look after myself and not be a burden I’ll be satisfied.” Mr. Brackett attained that goal and we invite his friends whom he called his family to attend the graveside service. — Clark Funeral Home
