Services for Mother Viola W. Mango are 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at St. John Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. W.N. “Billy” Graham is pastor and Bishop Joe F. Burns will officiate. Interment will follow at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. She was born in Terrell County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom Watkins. She was a devoted Christian, wife and homemaker. She was married to the late Will Mango and they had one child, Katie M. Ivey. She was a faithful member of St. John P.B. Church and a very devoted woman of God. As a homemaker and devotion to her family, she helped to raise most of her grandchildren and even a few of her great-grandchildren. She had a peace maker’s heart filled with love and respect for all. She leaves behind a daughter, Katie M. Ivey of Thomasville; son-in-law, Willie J. Ivey Sr. of Thomasville; granddaughters, Catherine (Johnny) Cousin, JoAnn Anderson, Sadie (Carl) Jones, all of Thomasville, Maude Wright of Tampa, Fla.; grandsons, Donnie (Joan) Ivey, Willie J. (Ann) Ivey Jr., Larry (Penny) Ivey, all of Thomasville, Terry Ivey of Tallahassee, Fla., and Tommy Ivey of Leesburg; great-grandchildren she helped to raise, Tina Williams, Willie c. Jackson Jr., Kelvin Jackson, Valerie Williams, Charles Anderson and Michael Johnson, all of Thomasville; great-granddaughter she raised and lived with, Jacquelyn Ivey; great-great-granddaughter she raised and lived with, Kelley (Tory) Scott; special nieces, Rose Mango of Cairo and Loretha Reese of Pelham; special nephew, Charlie Mango of Cairo; very special friend, Mammie Caldwell of Meigs; and, a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 522 West Clay Street 10 a.m. Saturday for the processional. Visitation is noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. — Hadley’s Funeral Home
