Dr. Allen Triplett Corbin

Memorial services for Dr. Allen Triplett Corbin, 70, of Thomasville, are at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2004 at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Bob Dixon will officiate. The remains will be spread at sea. Dr. Corbin died June 10 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born Sept. 25, 1933 in Adair County, Ky., he was a son of the late Alfred B. and Emma Triplett Corbin Sr. He was married to Judith Crocker of Thomasville. He was a 1952 graduate of Columbia High School, earned an associate of arts from Lindsey Wilson Junior College, Columbia, in 1954, a bachelor of arts from Berea College, Berea, Ky. in 1956 and in 1960 a doctor of dental medicine from the University of Louisville, Louisville, Ky. From 1960 to 1971, he practiced dentistry in Morgantown, Ky. and in Thomasville from 1971 until the time of his death. He also taught at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 1971. He was president of the Pennyrile District Dental Society, 1970-1971, as well as president of Thomasville Kiwanis 1979 to 1980. He was a life member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association and an associate member of Kentucky Dental Association. He was a member of the Hasan Temple, Thomasville, a Mason and a member of Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 10 and 13, Shell Point, Fla. He was a member of Thomasville First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judith Crocker Corbin of Thomasville; a daughter, Liane C. Gilbert of Cleveland; a son, David T. Corbin of Thomasville; sisters, Minnie Rubarts of Somerset, Ky., Allie Hixson (Bill) of Louisville, Ky., Christine Morgan of Columbia, Cylina Zink (Buford) of Fredricksburg, Ind.; brother, Alfred B. Corbin Jr. of Columbia; mother-in-law, Mrs. Jack I. (Emma Jean) Crocker of Thomasville; grandchildren, Jessica Gilbert, Caity Gilbert, Orion T. Corbin; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death was a brother, Elvin Corbin; and a sister, Julia Mae Corbin. Those wishing to do so may make donations to Archbold Foundation for Oral Cancer Patients, 910 S. Broad St., Thomasville or to the Community Foundation Fund for dental health. The family will receive friends at 123 E. Club Drive. Tripp has gone fishing. — Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home



Willie Jay Fuller

Services for Willie Jay Fuller, Cairo, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2004 at St. Calvary M.B. Church with the Rev. C.J. Henry officiating. Interment is in Pelham Memorial Garden in Pelham. Active pallbearers are Laquintin Gammage, Kofi Fuller, Eric Hudson, Robert Fuller, Spencer Taylor and Stacey Tucker. Mr. Fuller died June 7 in Cairo. Born in Donalsonville, he was a son of the late Isaih and Willie Mae Fuller and was married to Evonda Fuller. He was a member of St. Calvary M.B. Church and attended Mitchell County Public Schools. Survivors include his wife, Evonda Fuller; seven children, Nathaniel (Ann) Fuller, Ervin Fuller, Selena Fuller, Tequila Fuller, Teresa Fuller, Shon Fuller, Willie Fuller Jr.; two step-children, Peter Fuller, Louise Fuller; two brothers, Eddie (Lillie) Fuller Sr., Isaac (Annette) Fuller; sisters, Dolly (Nathaniel) Williams, Rosa Thomas, Louvenia (Johnny) Jackson, Geneva Fuller, Ruthie (Kenneth) Mango, Joann Harry; nine grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; special friend, Annie Grace Foster; and a spiritual sister, Cora Golden. — Weston’s Funeral Home



Royal A. McGraw

A memorial service for Royal A. McGraw is at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Keith Hill of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. He was born April 1, 1923 in Greenville, Ga. and grew up in Greenville. He was a graduate of West Georgia College and Emory University Law School. He served as an aviation cadet in the United States Navy from June 12, 1942 until his graduation from the United States Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Fla., on Aug. 3, 1943. He served on active duty as a pilot in the United States Marine Corps from Aug. 3, 1943 until July 6, 1946. Following graduation from law school, he was employed in the Legislative Research Department in the Office of the Georgia Attorney General until entering the Federal Bureau of Investigation on Aug. 25, 1948. He served as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation from Oct. 25, 1948 until his retirement on June 29, 1973. While in the FBI, he was assigned to the Detroit office, the Newark office and as a senior resident agent in Thomasville. He practiced law in Thomasville from 1973 until June 8, 2004. He was a past commander of Post 31, the American Legion, Thomasville. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as deacon, elder and clerk of session. Survivors include his wife, Eula Morgan McGraw whom he married on May 22, 1944 and with whom he recently celebrated his 60th wedding anniversary; four children, Rhoda Jane McGraw, Royal A. McGraw III, Joseph Thomas McGraw, Sarah Elizabeth McGraw Hiott; seven grandchildren, Sarah McGraw, Royal A. McGraw IV, Joseph T. McGraw Jr., Madeleine Rose McGraw, Myra E. Hiott, John Hiott Jr.and Ruth Hiott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Thomasville. Robert “Bobby” Clarence Sanders

Services for Robert “Bobby” Clarence Sanders, 49, of Kissimmee, Fla. are at 10 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2004 at Grissom Chapel in Kissimmee. Mr. Sanders died Thursday, June 3. Mr. Sanders was born April 26, 1955 in Thomasville, Ga. and graduated from Central High School. He was a musician and carpenter specializing in home restoration. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Kissimmee. He is survived by parents, John and Dell Pate of Auburndale, Fla.; sister, Leslie Sanders; brothers, John Pate III, Jack Pate, Michael Pate, Tommy Pate and William Pate all of Kissimmee and Tracy Pate of St. Cloud, Fla.; aunt and uncle, Jim and Beth Sanders of Barwick; and 17 nieces and nephews.
