Services for Allen Scott, 66, Thomasville, are at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Clifford Temple C.M.E. Church, with the Rev. Bobby E. Dailey officiating. Interment is at Peaceful Rest Cemetery. Active pallbearers are family and friends. Mr. Scott died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at his residence. He lived in New York City for many years and moved back to Thomasville in 1989. He was retired. Mr. Scott was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Boston, a son of the late Robert and Hennetta Scott. He was married to the former Jerutha Mickens in Thomasville on Oct. 10,1998. He was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Felicia Scott Ezell, Walkersville, Md.; a son Allen Keith Scott, Atlanta; son-in-law, John H. Ezell, Walkersville; daughter-in-law, Teresinia Scott, Atlanta; son-in-law, Kevin Scott, Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Quentin Ezell, Avery Ezell, both of Walkersville, Tre’ Allen Scott, Shyreka Scott, La Star Baker, Kelvin Gentry, all of Atlanta, Deyza Scott, Karen Scott, Taylor Scott, Jordan Scott, all of Chicago; great-grandchildren, Teresinia Katlyn, Cameron Wilicox, Kelvin Tre’ Allen, all of Atlanta; goddaughter, Adrienne Davis, Suffolk, Va.; godson, Caleb Davis, Suffolk; sister, Lillian W. Scott, Thomasville, brothers, Ezekiel Scott, Bobby L. Scott, both of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Carolyn Scott, Thomasville; numerous compassionate nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; cousins; his extended family; the staff of Hatcher-Peoples Funeral Home. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sabrina Denise Scott; sisters, Lillie M. Lawson, Rosa M. Stafford, Carrie B. Scott, Vivian Scott; nephews, J.C. Williams Jr., Charlie Stafford and Kendall Scott; and great niece, Lillian Sheneca Scott. Public viewing is from noon until 8:30 p.m. today.
