Rant & Rave July 8

“The money spent on the fireworks was money well spent. It’s events like Saturday’s that make us the community we are! It was a great family night out! Thanks CNS!”
“I liked Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5 for a lot of years, but when he started turning weird it turned me off.”
“Dr. Hehn, you are right. The way it’s paid should be changed. The government hasn’t done anything right yet. Look at the number of doctors who turn down Medicare and Medicaid. Everyone should have to pay for health care insurance.”
“Poor, old California. Wonder what the cost will be for old Michael’s funeral. If I were a taxpayer, I would be raising sand and sue his estate for unnecessary expenses to the state.”
“The city and county governments are not tasked with providing food or health care to their constituents. The $10,000, $20,000 or however much it costs is well worth the civic pride of a Fourth of July celebration.”
“As a health care provider, I, too wish more money was available for health care. But in these economic times, we must always think about the mental health of our community. The fireworks and all the other events were a great distraction for a few hours.”
“How many of the people who attended the Michael Jackson memorial service will make any attempt to attend the church of their choice on Sunday and worship the real king?”
“I want to thank the Times-Enterprise for putting the article about Rep. Peter King on the front page. His view is how most folks feel about Michael Jackson.”
“The article concerning Mr. King was ridiculous. I hope he never gets to be a senator. You shouldn’t have put that on the front page.”
