Undocumented man arrested for domestic violence

CAIRO- On April 9, 2025, Grady County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 33-year-old Bulfrano Morales of Cairo, on charges of aggravated assault and cruelty to children following a violent domestic altercation.
According to investigators, Morales strangled the victim during a dispute, nearly causing her to lose consciousness. A child was present during the assault, prompting the additional cruelty to children charge.
At the time of the incident, Morales was on pretrial release and under a court order prohibiting contact with the victim. Authorities also confirmed that Morales had an outstanding warrant in Grady County for the same charges.
Morales is currently being held at the Grady County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings and on a ICE detainer.
According to the Georgia Commission on Family Violence, there were over 61,000 reported family violence incidents statewide in 2024. Domestic violence continues to affect families across Georgia, often with devastating consequences for children who witness or experience abuse.
GCSO Sheriff Earl Prince stated, “Anyone who has knowledge of or is a victim of domestic violence should immediately contact the Grady County Sheriff’s Office. We are committed to protecting victims and aggressively pursuing anyone who harms children. Our office maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward crimes involving domestic violence and child endangerment.”
