THOMASVILLE- Thomasville Entertainment Foundation’s 87th concert series continues Thursday with a performance by a GRAMMY-nominated a cappella vocal chamber ensemble whose program will include the world premiere of a new work.

New York Polyphony, a quartet of male voices acclaimed by critics for its superb musicianship and vocal allure (The New Yorker), takes the stage on January 23 at Thomasville Center for the Arts.

Four unaccompanied voices – a countertenor, two tenors and a bass-baritone – take the audience on a journey of diverse ancient and modern music ranging from 12th century chant and Franco-Flemish sacred works and from Renaissance madrigals to 20th century American tunes. In the program for TEF, New York Polyphony will premiere a new composition by Florida State University Music Professor Dr. Iain Quinn.
