SAVANNAH — It’s back on the road for the Thomas County Central Lady Jackets.

The TCC girls traveled more than four hours to knock off the No. 2-seeded Islands Lady Sharks 54-49 in the first round of the Class AAAA state girls basketball tournament Tuesday.

The win earned the Lady Jackets (19-8) a trip to meet Luella in the second round.

The Lady Lions, the 1 seed from Region 5, rolled to a 90-25 win over Central-Carrollton on Tuesday.
