Thomas County educators’ commitment to student success helped the district graduate students at a higher rate than the state average of 84.1%. Georgia’s graduation rate has increased by 14.4 percentage points since 2012. A total of 107 Georgia school districts recorded graduation rates at or above 90%. The overall graduation rate for the Thomas County School District is 93.7%. which includes the four-year graduates from Thomas County Central, Bishop Hall Charter, and The Renaissance Center.

The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) calculates the graduation rate using the federally mandated “adjusted cohort rate.” The cohort is established when students initially start as freshmen in Thomas County School and adjusted for student transfers, and ultimately reflects the number of students in the district who graduated within four years.
