Lady Bulldogs beat Lady Jackets in three straight sets

The Lady Bulldogs beat the Lady Yellowjackets in three consecutive sets and improved their record to 17-10 for the season. 

Coming into the game, both teams were ready to play each other because the rivalry between Thomasville and Thomas County has always been so strong.

Thomasville took an early lead in the first set and never looked back.

The Lady Bulldogs were up 6-2, and the lead just kept growing, as the Lady Bulldogs were feeding off the energy of their hyped fan base.

The Bulldogs went on to take a 12-4 lead, taking complete control of the game with their defense and offense.

Thomas County had a lot of missed opportunities during the match l that led to the big lead for the Lady Bulldogs. Thomasville went on to win a lopsided first set 25-13.

Going into the second set, the Lady Bulldogs knew they had all the momentum on their side, and they were looking to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the game.

On the other hand, the Lady Yellowjackets knew they needed to come out with more intensity and be the more aggressive team.

Both the Lady Bulldogs and the Lady Yellowjackets started the second set off well. Both teams were going back and forth throughout the game,

The game was tied 4-4 early in the game, and from that point forward the Lady Bulldogs took over the game.

Center Sophie Wright set up numerous kill shots for Anna Martin Lutes and Izzi Ward within a matter of a minute to take an 8-5 lead in the game.

At that moment in the game, the Lady Bulldogs built enough momentum to overtake the game.

The Lady Bulldogs took over the game on both sides of the ball, which led to the lady Bulldogs taking an 18-10 lead late in the second set.

 Thomas County would only go on to score 2 more points throughout the game.

The Lady Bulldogs went on to win the second set 25-12.

In the third set of the match, Thomas County had their best set, because they played with more poise, and they forced Thomasville into some mistakes, which led to some points for the Lady Yellowjackets.

The game was tied 12-12, and both teams were going back and forth trying to take control of the game. The Yellowjackets had put themselves in a good position to win the set.

The Yellowjackets had a late lead, 18-17, and it looked like they would win a set against Thomasville.

However, that wasn’t the case because the Lady Bulldogs took over the game and never looked back. The Lady Bulldogs scored three consecutive points to take back the lead 20-18.

Thomas County responded with a few scores to give themselves a chance to win the game and force a fourth set.

The Bulldogs got the stop they needed to put the ball back into the Lady Bulldogs’ offense.

The Lady Bulldogs went on to win the third set 25-23.
