Brookwood boys take region tennis opener from Valwood

Brookwood boys tennis improved to 2-0 overall on the year and 1-0 in region play Thursday afternoon, taking a match on the road at Valwood. John Albert Roesel took the No. 3 singles match in dominating fashion, 6-1 and 6-1. Taylor Huffman and Grayson Baker teamed up at the No. 1 doubles position to win 6-4, 6-1. Clark Carter and Tripp Chastain took the No. doubles match 7-6, 6-0.

The 3-2 victory over the rival Valiants puts the Warriors in the early lead for region seeding. Up next for Warrior tennis is a match in Albany against Deerfield-Windsor on Monday.
