After that, everyone is free to wander! Knowledgeable volunteers will greet individuals at the door of each participating home and be available to give a brief history of the house and answer any questions.
At 6:00 p.m., join the partners behind the tour at The Paxton House for a cocktail party! The Juice Box Co. will provide complimentary cocktails and wine at the party exclusively for ticketed tour guests.

The History Center, in partnership with the state of Georgia, also operates the historic Lapham-Patterson House. Their board, staff, and growing membership invites members of the public to join them in their mission to enrich the community through the exploration and discovery of its history, people, and stories. Thomasville Landmarks started in 1964 when a small group of concerned citizens banded together to encourage the preservation of Thomasville’s unique environment. The movement started in response to a crisis: the town had just lost its Italianate-styled library to demolition. Other important landmarks were threatened. In the years following their 1969 incorporation, they’ve used the strength of their membership to promote the preservation of downtown’s brick streets, protection of the Big Oak, establishment of the city’s Main Street program, and protection /preservation of both the Tockwotton and Warren – Love Avenue neighborhoods from proposed demolition and subsequent redevelopment. They serve as the region’s preservation voice, advocating for the retention of existing resources, appropriate planning, and historically-sensitive development. Everyone can find them on Instagram and Facebook using @thomasvillelandmarks. For additional information, please visit www.thomasvillelandmarks.org or call 229.226.6026.
