PATRIOTIC DONATIONS: Ginsie DeWitt, Wyatt DeWitt, Anna Kate Carter, and Savanna Carter proudly display the USA flags and patriotic books presented to the Adel Christian Community School by John B. Gordon chapter 383 UDC.

THOMASVILLE — One of the objectives of the UDC is “patriotism.” John B. Gordon chapter 383 UDC recently presented the Adel Christian Community School over 50 United States of America small flags and several patriotic books. Students will be given the flags, and the books will go in the school’s library for the students and teachers to check out for reading.

Sheila Tucker chapter Historian presented the patriotic items to the school on behalf of John B. Gordon chapter 383.

The books donated for the school library are to commemorate Memorial Day, Flag Day (June 14), and July 4th celebration. The following books were donated: Little Golden Book Series- The White House by Jen Arena, Why Do We Celebrate Independence Day? by Jonathan Potter, and Memorial Day by Clara Cella.
