While Thomas was securing the female, Holmers said he observed the bathroom door open inside the store. He gave verbal commands, before a male, later identified as N. Murray exited with his hands up.

Holmers handcuffed Murray, before he and Thomas secured the rest of the store.

The search revealed no other occupants.

Murray and the juvenile female were both transported to the Thomas County Jail.

Holmers observed quite a bit of damage to the store, including damage to the ATM and the jewelry case next to it. Additionally, multiple cigars were found on the floor next to a black crowbar.

The bathroom where Murray was hiding revealed gloves, a pry bar and a bandana.

Officers called the owner to the scene to conduct a walkthrough. He reported no other damages or missing items.

All evidence was collected and turned over to Investigator Daniel Powers.

During the course of Powers’ investigation, it was revealed the suspects were also found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle that they used to travel to the store and burglarize it.

The vehicle’s rightful owner was contacted after it was discovered their property had been entered into as well.

Both the juvenile and N. Murray were charged with several charges, including burglary and motor vehicle theft.
