THOMASVILLE — Thomas County Central has a truly historic football program. There are Yellow Jackets all over the country playing at every level on the gridiron. It looks like Central will continue that proud tradition as many Yellow Jackets are receiving offers to go play ball at the collegiate level.
Since the start of 2023, players from Thomas County Central’s football team have received over 40 offers from colleges around the country. The offers range from schools at the NAIA level to NCAA national title contenders. It’s clear that collegiate recruiters are recognizing the talent in Thomasville.
Many schools have presented offers to multiple Yellow Jackets. Sewanee submitted offers to Ezekiel Bogan, Alex Ward and Rylan McDowell in June while schools like Alabama State and Shorter University extended offers to both Ty Brown and Trey Brenton. Brown has also received offers that extend outside of the south from Navy and Lenoir-Rhyne.
Two of the Yellow Jackets stand out stars, Cam Brooks and Kendarius Reddick, have received offers from a bevy top level schools. Combined they have received over 20 college offers, hearing from programs like Tennessee, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Florida State and Arkansas. Depending on where these two star-studded athletes go, they could be contending for a title. Both players received an offer from Michigan, who has made back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances, and Brooks received an offer from LSU, who many believe will be making a run at a title now that coach Brian Kelly has his legs under him. Both players have also received and offer from Florida.
All of this comes after four star Yellow Jackets receiver Adam Hopkins made a high profile decision to sign with Colorado and play under coach Prime, Deion Sanders, and former TCC gridiron star Charlie Thomas signed with the Cleveland Browns.
With all of these offers coming in and more certainly on the way, Thomas County Central will be making a national splash on the college football scene in the coming years.
