THOMASVILLE- Ten Thomas County Central High School band students earned seats on the 2023 Georgia Music Educators Association District 2 Jazz Ensemble. With only 21 spots, TCCHS swept almost half. These young musicians are Jesus Altamirano (alto saxophone), Savana Manning (tenor saxophone), Teddy Cone (trumpet), Jason Matt Bradley (trumpet), Max Mares (trumpet), James Butler (trombone), Jenna Coaker (trombone), Tyler Laidman (bass trombone), Alyssa Bradshaw (piano), and Spencer Webb (drums). Auditions took place Monday, Oct. 2. The ensemble will convene to rehearse and perform a special concert Feb. 8-9, 2024, at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
