THOMASVILLE- Arts for the Community at Thomas University (ACTU) presents a Friday at Noon concert of Soul and R&B stylings with vocalist Ayonna Charese and guitarist Chris Seepersaud on Friday, September 22 at Thomas County Public Library System, located at 201 N Madison St. in Thomasville, Ga.

This concert will feature Ayonna Charese, a powerful and versatile vocalist, who has toured the country singing background for Grammy award winning artists, appearing on television, as well as recording and producing her own music. She hails from Quincy Florida, but is well known in the Houston, Texas scene as well, and is a gifted musician as well as an expert of vocal arrangement, who also explores the drums and keyboard.

Charese will be joined by multi-instrumentalist and teacher Chris Seepersaud, who is known for combining soul with sounds from all over the globe. Seep considers himself a “fusion guitarist” and a soul singer with an eclectic mix of oldies, folk songs, country songs, pop and R&B, jazz, and even Indian classical music and sitar playing.

Seepersaud stated, “We met while playing at a party about four years ago with a corporate band. The chemistry was tangible right away, and I wouldn’t let her leave until I got her number for future music making. Shortly after, when I was going through some big life changes, she was right there encouraging me. So, the friendship is as strong as the music chemistry.”

This performance will begin at 12 p.m. September 22.
