Archbold system COVID-19 vaccines now top 14,000

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday there have been 48 new COVID-19 positive test results over the last week, Over the past week, the system has had 715 new negative results. Nineteen people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system recorded one death from COVID-19 in the last week.
As of Tuesday, there were six COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, two at Grady General Hospital, and none at Mitchell County Hospital or Brooks County Hospital. There are no COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.
Archbold also is reporting there are no COVID positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home, Mitchell Convalescent Center or Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.
The system also has administered 14,635 COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Tuesday.
The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 3,395 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 105 deaths. There also have been 327 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.
Thomas County has recorded 81 new cases in the last two weeks, according to the state DPH.
The state DPH has recorded 1,466 COVID-19 cases in Grady County, with 43 deaths and 162 hospitalizations attributed to the virus.
Statewide, there have been more than 808,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 14,761 deaths and more than 55,100 hospitalizations.
More than 7 million people have been tested for COVID-19 in the state, with a rate of 11.1% for positive results.
The state has issued nearly 1.8 million vaccinations.
