The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the shooting.

According to a news release from the GBI, deputies went to the 3000 block of Pine Park Road on the evening of July 19 as the homeowner wanted a man to leave his property.

The deputies were unable to get the man to leave and attempted to arrest him.

After getting a handcuff on one wrist, the man escaped and got into a deputy’s car. As he started to back up while the deputies were near the open driver’s door, the deputies fired at the man.

The man then drove forward out of the yard. Additional deputies also fired at him.

A short chase ended on Pine Park Road where Fralick was pronounced dead.

The GBI has not released any further details.
