EASTMAN —  The Dodge County softball team used a seven-run outburst in the third inning and sealed the win and the series sweep with a seven-run sixth, taking Game 2 of its Class AA state softball series with Thomasville 19-5.

The Lady Indians won the opener 15-4.

Myla Still was 2-for-3 with a double, Makenna Gainous was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Gracen Hinson was 2-for-3 in the nightcap.

Daylee Beaty was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the opener, and Gainous was 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Dodge County advances to play the winner of the Pepperell-Heard County series.
