Officials confirmed that Banks is a shooting suspect and has warrants out of Vero Beach, including possession of a firearm and ammunition by a person found to be delinquent.

Capt. Daniel Singletary, Grady County Sheriff’s Office chief investigator, said Banks’ court hearing is today, where he will decide to fight extradition back to Florida or waive it.

“He can either choose to waive and be brought back to Florida to face what they’ve got or he can deny it — then we’ll have to get a warrant on him and then he’d have to go through the governor’s office,” Singletary said.

Singletary said it looks like Banks will choose to waive extradition back to Florida but nothing has been confirmed.
