DAWSON — Another furious Brookwood rally fell just short Friday night.
The Warriors recovered two onside kicks and got a long punt return to set up another score but fell to the homestanding Terrell Academy Eagles in a wild 56-47 affair Friday night.

Terrell Academy jumped out to a 19-0 lead before Brookwood mounted its first comeback.
Rodge Waldrop, who threw seven touchdown passes for the Warriors and had 520 yards through the air, connected with TJ Thomas on scoring strikes of 58 and 41 yards.
Terrell, though, answered with four straight scores, including a 75-yard touchdown throw.
Brookwood began to race back into the game.
After Waldrop threw a 20-yard TD pass, Destin Moore came up with an interception. On the next play, Waldrop hit Moore on an up and out, covering 80 yards.
A reverse on a punt return put the Warriors at the Eagles 25, and Waldrop hit Grant Gaston from 6 yards out.

The Warriors, having recovered an onside kick to start the second half but unable to covert into points, got another onside — and turned that into Waldrop’s touchdown toss to Strong Beverly.
But Terrell (5-0), which had recovered another onside kick attempt earlier in the fourth, corralled the final such try and ran out the clock.
Brookwood, which has played three consecutive road games, opens a long homestead with Tattnall Square on October 1.
