No COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold for second straight week

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday there have been 14 new COVID-19 positive test results over the last week, Over the past week, the system has had 489 new negative results. No people were admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system did not record a death from COVID-19 in the last week.

As of Tuesday, there were no COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Grady General Hospital, Brooks County Hospital or Mitchell County Hospital. There are no COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.

Archbold also is reporting there are no COVID positive patients at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home, Glenn-Mor Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center. 

The system also has administered 27,632 COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Tuesday.

As of Tuesday, more than 15,200 Thomas County residents, 34% of the population, have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the state Department of Public Health. More than 31,540 doses of vaccine have been administered.

Grady County has had more than 14,420 vaccines administered, with more than 7,020 people, 28% of the population, being fully vaccinated.

The state has issued more than 8.23 million vaccinations, and 38% of all Georgia residents, more than 3.94 million people, have been fully vaccinated.
