THOMASVILLE — First Option Care Crisis Pregnancy Center will host its annual Dr. Seuss themed 5K Run for LIFE virtually this year due to social distancing requirements surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Registration for the race closes on Sunday, March 21 and the cost is $35 per person. Registration is available online at www.runsignup.com (search: First Option Care 5K Run for LIFE). All registered participants are guaranteed to receive a race T-shirt and additional prizes will also be awarded for Best Times, Best Costumes, and for raising $100, $250, $500 and $1,000 in donations for this local ministry.
Team discounts are available for teams of five or more, so spread the word among your friends and family.
Participants can run, walk, or jog 3.1 miles (5 km) anytime, anywhere between April 1 and April 30 and then upload their time to the race registration website. There will also be a costume contest, so everyone is encouraged to dress in Dr. Seuss character attire and upload their photos to the First Option Care Virtual 5K Event on Facebook to enter.
