Brookwood tennis continued its strong performance this season against Southland Academy in Americus on Thursday afternoon. 

The Warriors and Lady Warriors used the match as preview of next year’s lineup by sitting out most of the upperclassmen. This made for a much more competitive matchup, but the Brookwood youth stepped up and won both boys and girls matches by team scores of 3-2. 

Both the girls and boys split the doubles play matches and No. 1 and No. 2 singles, so with each match tied 2-2 both came down to No. 3 singles.  

Pearson Taylor on the Boys side and Rayne Deese both came through with wins to clinch the overall matches. The doubles team of Camille Yarbrough and Riley Johnson secured their second win this week at No. 1 doubles.
