Thomas County COVID-19 positive tests at 316

THOMASVILLE — The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 316 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 31 deaths. There also have been 62 people to be hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.

Statewide, there have been more than 43,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19. leading to 1,871 deaths in Georgia and 7,547 people being hospitalized.

The state has administered more than 513,000 tests.

Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 493 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 51 deaths, since testing began March 11.

There have been 242 people admitted to Archbold hospitals since testing started. Over the past week, the system has had 14 new positive test results and 279 new negative results. Four people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19.
