Archbold reports 55 new positive tests across system

THOMASVILLE — Archbold officials reported Tuesday that to date there have been 1,647 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 99 deaths, since testing began March 11. There also have been 11,375 negative test results. 

There have been 613 people admitted to Archbold hospitals since testing started. Over the past week, the system has had 55 new positive test results and 746 new negative results. Twenty-eight people have been admitted to Archbold hospitals in the last week for COVID-19. The system has recorded two deaths from COVID-19 in the last week.

As of Tuesday, there were 17 COVID-19 positive patients at Archbold Memorial Hospital, two at Grady General Hospital, four at at Mitchell County Hospital and none at Brooks County Hospital. There are no COVID-19 positive patients at Northside Center for Behavioral and Psychiatric Care.

Archbold also is reporting there are no COVID positive patients at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home, Pelham Parkway Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 1,495 COVID-19 positive tests in Thomas County, with 63 deaths. There also have been 167 people hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus since the inception of the outbreak.

Statewide, there have been more than 316,000 confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, leading to 6,994 deaths in Georgia and 28,339 people being hospitalized.

The state has administered more than 2.9 million tests.
