The Residence at Oak Grove, an assisted living and memory care community opening in October 2020, has hired Tamar Brown as executive director.
Brown was born in a very small town in rural southwest Georgia. After graduating high school, she migrated to Thomasville, where she continues to call home. She recently served as the executive director of a three-phase Retirement/PCH Community in a nearby town.
Brown began to pursue her “calling” in the senior living industry over 25-plus years ago as a Certified Nursing Assistant at a local skilled nursing facility.
She brings many years of experience, having served capacities in management such as hospice, home health, skilled nursing and dentistry. From her many years in the industry, Brown is dedicated to bringing optimal levels of efficiency and care to senior living communities and is thrilled to do the same as the new executive director of Residence at Oak Grove.
Brown is currently enrolled at GCU online where she maintains a 4.0 GPA. Besides being a certified cake decorator/designer and a personally trained chef, she enjoys reading, learning new things, and spending time with her husband who is a local pastor, Dr. Larry Phillips Brown.
“With Tamar’s background and experience working in the senior living industry, we have no doubt that she will make a great asset to our team and we believe she will lead us into a prosperous future,” said Bobby Petras, COO for Priority Life Care. “We are excited to have her on board.”
Priority Life Care is a third-party management company that will manage the Residence at Oak Grove.
