Thomas County COVID-19 numbers hold steady

THOMASVILLE — The Georgia Department of Public Health reports there have been 158 people in Thomas County to test positive for COVID-19, with 16 deaths.
Archbold officials reported Friday that to date there have been 367 positive test results for COVID-19 across their system, with 38 deaths.
The health care system also has had a total of 1,149 negative test results. Of those who have tested positive, 263 are at home. There are 32 patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
From its Pinetree Boulevard screening site, Archbold has had 141 total positive test results. There have been 580 negative test results from the Pinetree screening site. Those tested at the screening site and waiting on results will be notified by their primary care provider.
No patient at Brooks County Hospital has a positive test result. There are four patients at Grady General and six at Mitchell County Hospital who have tested positive.
No resident at either Glenn-Mor Nursing Home or Mitchell Convalescent Center has tested positive. As of Wednesday, there are 24 residents at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home classified as having a COVID-19 positive test result.
The Georgia Department of Corrections announced the death of an offender due to complications related to COVID-19 in Thomasville. One offender, who had been housed at Autry State Prison, was 68 years old, had been hospitalized in Thomasville and was pronounced deceased on April 22 at approximately 8:15 p.m.
