Hererra said Deleon, who was not on the scene when law enforcement arrived, grabbed a box cutter and cut Beltrain across his face.

Deleon was taken into custody on charges of aggravated assault and criminal trespass.

The incident occurred Feb. 2 at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Police found Beltrain, 31, bleeding from the left side of his head and cheek and under his eye when they arrived at the scene, located on the 1200 block of 8th Ave. NE.

Responding officer Donnie Roland said blood was on the floor, chairs and sofa in the living room when he arrived.

Roland found an box cutter with hair and blood on the floor next to where Beltrain was sitting.

The box cutter was confiscated as evidence.

Beltrain was transported to the emergency room at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.

Police searched the area for Deleon but were unable to immediately locate him.

Deleon returned to the house and allegedly ripped an air conditioning unit out the window, causing it to fall on the ground and become damaged.

Police found Deleon laying underneath a black truck parked in the yard and placed him under arrest.

Police said Deleon could not be processed because he was intoxicated and he was transported to Grady County Detention Center.
