SRTC to host career fair at Thomasville campus

Southern Regional Technical College’s (SRTC) Career Services department is hosting a community career fair on Tuesday, July 18, on its Thomasville Campus, Building D, Rooms 106-108, from 9 a.m.-12 noon. This career fair is free and open to the public.

Dr. Jeanine Long, SRTC director of Career Services and Counseling, encourages all job seekers in the area to attend, especially current students.

“It is never too early to start making connections for employment,” she said. “Please come prepared with resumes, professional attire, and questions for employers. Think of this as your first opportunity to interview with your new employer!”

More than 30 employers are registered to attend, including: New Hire Solutions, Keystone Foods, Waffle House, DeVry University, Avon, Tift Regional Health System, Community Outreach Training Center, Healthcare Staffing Inc, Ambassador Personnel, WorkSource Southwest Georgia, Army National Guard, Thomas University, Residential Elevators, Georgia Department of Public Safety MCCD, North Florida Medical Centers, Inc., Thomas County Fire and Rescue, Georgia State Patrol and many more.

Chandler Foy of New Hire Solutions is excited to meet enthusiastic area applicants, noting that SRTC graduates have been a positive presence in the community.

“These recent graduates provide this area with energy, ideas and passion,” Foy said. “We’re excited to meet new prospective employees at the SRTC Thomasville career fair. Look for our table to receive information on how you could play an integral role in supporting Georgia’s work force.”
