• The Bryant, Maxwell, and Williams families will be having their annual family reunion, July 28 at the Reno Community Center in Reno. All family members are invited to attend for an afternoon of fellowship. Bring a covered dish or two and any family memories to share. • The narcotics/vice division of the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office is accepting old or unused prescription medications from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at 921 Smith Ave. The contents of the pill bottle should be emptied into a resealable plastic bag. Leave liquids, gels or creams in the original container and place into a resealable plastic bag. Scratch out all personal identification. • July 1-26 — Kevin Curry: Tripping Over the Same Stone at the Thomasville Center for the Arts Downtown. This event is an exploration centered on the mobility and authorship of memories, language and objects — a dialogue reflective of the intersection and location of place in our lives. Curry employs sculpture, photography, traditional media and digital fabrication technologies in investigating how we navigate through and within the geography of experiences.

• July 19 — Rhythm & Roots is bigger, better and bolder than ever. Born during Due South Art Food and Music Festival, this musical series has taken on a life of its own. It will be held at the Thomasville Center for the Arts landmark theater for an evening of music, storytelling and song. The highlight of the evening will be the showstopping musicians and songwriters. Guests will also have access to a cash bar for refreshments and libations. This gives you time to shop and dine before the concert. Bleu Burden is a local band that originated on a front porch in Thomasville. • Sept. 28 — The Treehouse’s third Annual Farm to Fork Dinner will be an evening of farm fresh food — locally grown produce and meats, locally crafted beverages, live music and more. Come see The Leftovers band live and enjoy food prepared by Southern Bleu. Proceeds from the event will benefit The Treehouse Children’s Advocacy Center which provides vital forensic and advocacy services to victims of child abuse and sexual assault in Thomas County — free of charge.
