Inspired by Clement Moore’s beloved holiday poem, “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” this charming show is aimed at preschool and younger elementary students and features a jolly Santa Claus, reindeer on the roof and sugarplums dancing in the dreams of hopeful children.

“We are excited to bring this wonderful musical to the children of our community,” said TEF President Charlotte Brown. “TEF’s Family Series provides gives parents the opportunity to enjoy a classic holiday story with their children or for grandparents to spend a morning with their grandchildren while parents do some Christmas shopping.”

Thomasville’s independent bookstore, The Bookshelf, will host an on-site pop-up shop with holiday-related books for sale before and after the show, and attendees will have the opportunity to register for a Christmas story door prize to be given away immediately following the performance.

Founded in 1975, Virginia Rep’s touring company has been internationally acclaimed for excellence as a theatre for young audiences. The company performs live for more than 500,000 children and adults each year across the United States.
