CAIRO — January is National Blood Donor Month, and the Cairo-Grady County Chamber of Commerce will mark the occasion by hosting a community blood drive on Friday, Jan. 3.

From 1-6 p.m., people will have the opportunity to donate blood at the One Blood bus in the chamber of commerce parking lot.

All donors will receive a long sleeves shirt and a wellness check-up which will include a blood pressure reading, an iron count and a cholesterol screening.

Interested individuals can sign up at the chamber of commerce at 961 North Broad Street. Walk-ins are also welcome.

An ID will be required. Donors must be at least 16 years old.
