THOMASVILLE — A local car dealership is under new ownership and management after it was purchased last month.

Thomasville Toyota co-owners Chris Matchett and Gregg Issacs took possession of Thomasville Ford, located at 1515 E. Jackson Street, Sept. 10. Brian Bralich will serve as general manager at the Ford location.

Matchett said the Thomasville Toyota team is excited for the opportunity to begin offering Ford products.

“We’re going to ensure the world-class service that’s offered at Thomasville Toyota translates to every and all at Thomasville Ford,” Matchett said.

Negotiations for the purchase began about six months ago, Matchett said, and the Thomasville Toyota team first became interested in the Ford location several months before that.

“From a strategic standpoint, we felt both the location and the brand fit into our plans perfectly,” Matchett said. “It’s just a couple of miles away and we really think the Ford brand has a lot of opportunities going forward.”

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Matchett has been a partner at Thomasville Toyota for two years. Issacs has owned Thomasville Toyota for 20 years.
