The body of a man who fell into the Ochlocknee River early Monday afternoon was recovered about 7:30 p.m.
The man, who has not been positively identified, is a young Hispanic male and power crew contract worker, said Capt. Steven Jones of the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office.
The crew was clearing the right-of-way beneath power lines when the man, who could not swim, slipped and fell into the river near the Ga. 3 bridge, Capt. Jones said.
