THOMASVILLE — The Thomasville Lady Bulldogs held off a late Fitzgerald rally and claimed a key Region 1-AA softball win in a 5-3 decision Tuesday.

Jordan Williams went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in three runs and Malorie Turnbull was 1-for-3 with a triple. Mallory Fletcher also had one RBI.

Turnbull allowed nine hits but did not walk a batter in her complete-game victory.

The Lady Bulldogs are 8-6 on the season and 5-3 in the region. Thomasville hosts Early County on Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
