“She worked for Pro Body Shop almost 20 years,” said Maj. Wade Glover, Thomasville Police Department public information officer.

The owner of the 110 Commerce Park Drive business noticed discrepancies in the company checkbook — payments he did not approve and checks he did not sign, Glover said.

An audit of the business showed several company checks written and signed by Palmer for personal expenses.

Glover said the time frame being looked at in the investigation is from April 2016 to May 2019.

The company audit showed several checks written on the company and signed by Palmer for personal expenses, the officer said, adding, “She also bought some tires.”

Palmer, company officer manager, was terminated the day after the financial discrepancies were discovered.

The investigation and company audit continue.

Glover said more charges are possible after the audit is complete.

Palmer, 48, 200 Hansell Chastain Road, was released from the Thomas County Jail on a $3,500 bond.
