TCCHS track team takes sixth at Yellow Jacket Invitational

The Thomas County Central boys varsity track team took sixth place in this year’s Yellow Jacket Invitational.

Ethan Phillips was second in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles. Trandis Wright was third in the long jump and sixth in the triple jump. Jabias Kerbo was third in the 400-meter dash and seventh in the 800-meter run.

The 4×100 relay team of Travion Huewitt, Jordan Jones, Wright, and Tykeem Wallace placed third, and the Jones, Wallace, Wright and Jatonee Thomas were third in the 4×200. Kerbo, Phillips, Javasee Thomas and Wright were fourth in the 4×400 relay.

Clarence Adams was fifth in the 3,200-meter run, and Malik Thomas was sixth in the 1,600. Brian Ryals was fifth in the pole vault, Wallace was seventh in the 100-meter dash, Javasee Thomas was eighth in the triple jump and 10th in the high jump, Isacc Franklin was eighth in the discus, and Antonio Stephenson was 10th in the 200.

The team will travel to Fitzgerald on Friday to participate in the Colony Bank Invitational.
