THOMASVILLE — A Saturday fight over a man that bled over into Sunday involved gunfire and slashed tires, resulting in three arrests, according to reports.
The fight took place Saturday afternoon at Remington Park, said Maj. Wade Glover, Thomasville Police Department public information officer.
Nekia McMillan, 19, and Kimsey Jones, 23, were fighting over a male who works at Walmart, the officer added.
Glover said Jones went to her vehicle, got a gun and fired toward McMillan, whose mother, Sheena Cochran, 34, videoed the altercation.
“Police were not called at this time. We were called the next day,” Glover said.
On Sunday, police were called to Walmart where McMillan’s vehicle’s tires reportedly were slashed.
Police watched Cochran’s video and saw the Saturday fight and Jones discharging the firearm.
Jones is charged with aggravated assault, while McMillan is charged with affray for fighting at the park.
Cochran is charged with disorderly conduct for allowing the incident to occur, videoing the fight and gunfire and not calling police.
Glover said the fight was witnessed by a crowd.
“Somebody could have been seriously injured,” the officer said.
