BOSTON — Cousins arguing during predawn hours Saturday over where a vehicle was parked evolved into one being stabbed in the neck, according to authorities..
“The victim apparently got into an argument with the suspect at the community center in Boston,” said Lt. Tim Watkins, Thomas County Sheriff’s Office chief investigator.
According to suspect Christopher Antonio Coston, the victim parked his car in a place that impeded traffic, Watkins said.
The victim left the community center and went to his home at 514 Garnett St. in Boston.
Watkins said Coston followed his cousin to the residence, where another argument began. Coston pulled put a knife and cut the victim on the throat, the chief investigator said.
The victim was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted and remains hospitalized.
Coston fled and was captured about 6:30 p.m. Saturday at a relative’s house on Ga. 202.
“He (Coston) admitted he stabbed the victim and said it was self-defense. He almost killed him,” Watkins said.
Coston, who was denied bond and remains in the Thomas County Jail, is charged with aggravated assault.
