NORMAN PARK, Ga. — A Norman Park woman was killed Friday night when she drove off the roadway and was ejected from her car.

Ana Victoria Martinez, 27, was driving north on D.H. Alderman Road at about 8:55 p.m. when the Saturn Vue left the roadway near the intersection with Cool Springs Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The car traveled onto the west shoulder.

Martinez overcorrected while steering and lost control, GSP reports said. The car went off the east side of the roadway, struck a ditch and started overturning.

Martinez was ejected from the vehicle, the reports said, and the car came to rest on the driver’s side. She was not wearing a seat belt.

A 1-year-old, Isias Hernandez, also of Norman Park, was transported by air to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, the GSP said. The hospital said on Monday that they did not have a patient by that name.
