South Georgia Banking Company teaches students importance of saving money

TIFTON — In honor of Teach Children to Save Day, South Georgia Banking Company staff talked with classes of all ages.

Marketing director Maghan Campbell talked with Len Lastinger’s Marilyn Ring’s first grade class about the importance of saving.

After reading a “Little Critter” book about working hard and saving up for something we really want, Campbell quizzed the class on the value of the each coin.

All of the students took home a small coin purse to begin their personal savings.
